Glenn Danzig, Glen Ross

Frankly, I pretty much think Danzig is amazing. The lyrics, the obsession with comic books, the fact that he's totally, totally short. Like some dark, fallen troubadour of black love and devil lore. He once penned, "I was a snake-eyed boy, when at the age of five I made love to the howl of the wolves with a dark-haired girl." Pretty much awesome, right? Not to mention, he's pretty much Evil Elvis back from the dead. When you hear his voice, you can almost feel yourself slip into a zombie nod and walk mindlessly toward his bed chambers, wherever it is.

But he's also a ripe target for ridicule. I caught this not so long ago... Maybe you've already seen it...

But he is coming out for one final tour in the fall... October 15 at Roseland, I believe. "The Blackest of the Black" Tour. (It's almost brilliant how inane he is!) And he'll be accompanied by Doyle, and that means a Misfits reunion!... Again!

As someone who has always admired short men who walk like they're eight feet tall, I will never forget seeing Danzig take the stage at my first ever concert (he was opening for Suicidal Tendencies and Metallica). Micheal's description, "Like some dark, fallen troubadour of black love and devil lore" describes Danzig perfectly.
